Sports and Recreation

The North Dakota Association of the Blind hosts annual spring and fall sports and recreation retreats where participants get the opportunity to take part in athletic and recreational activities.

Activities at past retreats include rock climbing, archery, darts, canoeing, kayaking, target shooting, goal ball (the sport created specifically for people with sight loss) and more.

On a grassy field, a woman in a denim jacket and blue jeans pulls back on a bowstring. Another woman stands behind here, eyeing the targets on the far right.

Participation is free to NDAB members with sight loss, and sighted plus-ones are welcome to attend the multi-day events for a small fee.

We hope to see you at the next retreat!
