SPECIAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING MINUTES
March 2, 2023
BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Trampes Brown, Lexee Steffan, Rebecca Anderson, Helen Baumgartner, Doug Stip, Milissa Miller, Gerald Byron, Allan Peterson and Zelda Gebhard
BOARD MEMBERS ABSENT: None
CALL TO ORDER: Trampes called the meeting to order at 8:01 pm via Zoom.
ROLL CALL: Helen took roll call.
A special board meeting was called to discuss the 2023 State Convention. Trampes updated the board regarding the hotel and meal services. The company which would have provided meals has left the state and NDAB is not able to get back the deposit paid to them. Litigation would be more costly than the deposit. Other hotels and caterers have been researched. The Hampton is charging $150/room with a continental breakfast. The Hilton is $119/room with no continental breakfast. The Hampton was preferred. Allan made a motion to pay $30/night/room for Friday and Saturday night to defray the cost of the hotel room, seconded by Lexee. MC
NDAB received a $25,000 gift from the Eleanor & Bernard Ohnstad estate. Allan made a motion to invest the gift into a CD for one year, seconded by Missy. MC
ADJOURN: Allan made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Lexee. MC The meeting adjourned at 8:55 pm.
